> ## Agent Instructions
> Call them jobs, not postings, listings, or roles.
> To act for an employer, connect to the MCP server at https://mcp.hotfix.jobs/hiring and sign in with a Hotfix account. API keys are for HTTP scripts, not MCP.
> Only describe the routes, tools, and numbers these docs publish. If something isn't documented, say so instead of guessing.
> Webhooks are managed in the app under Settings > Connections > Webhooks. An API key or MCP client can't create or change them.
> Hotfix is the applicant tracking system. Applications land on the job in Hotfix and aren't sent to another ATS.
> Creating a draft, offer, or booking link sends nothing. A person sends the email from Hotfix.

# Skills

> The seven Hiring with Hotfix skills, offered as MCP prompts on the hiring server.

The hiring MCP offers seven skills as prompts. Each tells your AI how to use the [tools](https://docs.hotfix.jobs/hiring-mcp/tools.md) for one part of hiring. Pick one from your client's prompt list, or let the client offer it when your request fits.

| Prompt | What it does |
| - | - |
| `hotfix-triaging-hiring` | Tells you what needs you now across your Hotfix jobs, most urgent first, with one next action each. |
| `hotfix-posting-jobs` | Writes a job post from your description of a role (the description, what the job needs, the apply form, and search fields), posts it on a yes, edits it later, and closes it, telling everyone still waiting. |
| `hotfix-reviewing-applicants` | Reviews the people who applied to a job against what the job needs, quotes what each resume or answer shows, suggests who's a good fit, a maybe, or not a fit, and saves the review on each person. |
| `hotfix-interviewing-candidates` | Sets up interviews, moves or cancels them, prepares questions, and pulls together what the panel wrote. |
| `hotfix-emailing-candidates` | Writes your emails to candidates (replies, nudges, and decline emails), honest, kind, and short, and sends them through Hotfix, as you, on a yes. |
| `hotfix-making-offers` | Writes and sends an offer letter, follows up, and records whether the candidate accepted or declined. |
| `hotfix-setting-up-hiring` | Sets up and changes how your company hires on Hotfix (its profile and careers page, its emails, how long applicant data is kept) and who is on the team. |

The rules hold in every skill: you decide who to talk to, decline, or hire; everything said about a person quotes their own words; nothing is sent without your yes; and there is never a score or a rank for a person.
