> ## Agent Instructions
> Product noun is jobs.
> MCP at https://rest.hotfix.jobs/mcp is the hiring contract for agents. Clients sign in with Hotfix; API keys are for HTTP only.
> Do not invent unpublished REST or hiring stats. Webhooks are set up in the app; there is no REST route or MCP tool to manage them.
> Do not mention Greenhouse, Ashby, Quick Apply, or claim.
> Creating a draft, offer, or booking link does not send email.

# Analytics

> See how many people find your jobs, where applications come from, and how fast you hire.

Open **Analytics** in the sidebar. Everyone on your team can see it. Only Owners and Admins see the **Equal opportunity** card.

Analytics counts the jobs you posted, open and closed. Drafts don't count.

## Pick a date range

The date button at the top left sets the range. It starts on **Last 30 days**.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the date picker">Click the date button.</Step>

  <Step title="Pick a range">
Pick **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, **This
month**, or **Last month**. Or click a start date and an end date on the
    calendar.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Days follow your computer's time zone.

## Filter by job, department, or status

Click **Filters** and pick one:

| Filter | Options |
| - | - |
| **Status** | **All statuses**, **Active**, or **Closed** |
| **Department** | **All departments**, or one department. Shows when your jobs have one. |
| **Job** | **All jobs**, or one job |

Each filter you set shows as a chip next to **Filters**. Click the **x** on a chip to remove it.

Filters apply to every card except **Careers page visits**, which only shows with no filters set, and **Equal opportunity**, which only follows the **Job** filter.

## Summary cards

Four cards sit at the top.

| Card | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Applications** | Applications in the range. |
| **Hired** | Applicants moved to **Hired** in the range. |
| **Time to hire** | For people hired in the range, the median number of days from when they applied to when they were first moved to **Hired**. Shows **None** if nobody was hired. |
| **New** | Applications in **New** right now. Click the card to open them in the [Inbox](/help/inbox). |

Under **Applications** and **Hired**, a line shows the percent change from the same number of days just before the range, like **vs prior 30 days**. Under **Time to hire**, it says how many days faster or slower you hired, or **Same pace**. The line is hidden when there's nothing to compare.

### What counts as an application

An application counts on the day it reached your Inbox. Withdrawn applications don't count. If you turn on **Confirm applications** under **Settings** > **Apply**, applications count once the applicant confirms. See [Apply settings](/help/apply-settings).

## Charts

| Chart | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Applications by job** | Applications each day, stacked by job. |
| **Pipeline** | How many applications sit in **New**, **Considering**, **Interviewing**, **Hired**, and **Rejected**. |
| **Source over time** | Applications each day from your careers page and from Hotfix search. |
| **Job views** | Views of your jobs and people who started applying. |
| **Applications by channel** | Applications by the link they came from. |

**Pipeline** shows where applications are right now, so the date range doesn't change it. Filters do.

### Applications by job

The chart starts with the 5 jobs that have the most applications. To change which jobs it shows, click the jobs button at the top right of the card, like **5 jobs**, and check or uncheck jobs. It shows up to 8 at a time.

### Where applications come from

**Source over time** splits applications by where the applicant applied:

| Source | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Careers page** | They applied on your careers page. |
| **Hotfix search** | They applied from your job on Hotfix search. |

**Applications by channel** splits them by the link the applicant followed. A link tagged with `?source=`, like `?source=linkedin`, counts under that name, like **LinkedIn**. Applications with no tag count as **Direct**.

To get a tagged link, open a job and click **Copy tracking link**. Pick where you'll share it, like **LinkedIn** or **Referral**, or pick **Other…** to name your own. See [Job actions](/help/post-a-job#job-actions). You can also add `?source=` to your careers page link yourself. See [Careers page](/careers-page) and [Where they came from](/applications#where-they-came-from).

### Job views

**Job views** has these totals for the range:

| Total | What counts |
| - | - |
| **Careers page** | Views of your job pages on your careers page. |
| **Hotfix search** | Views of your jobs on Hotfix search. Views from a featured spot count under [Featured jobs](#featured-jobs) instead. Only jobs listed on Hotfix search have these. |
| **Started applying** | Opening a job's **Apply** tab on your careers page, or clicking to apply on Hotfix search. Once per job per visit. |
| **Careers page visits** | Visits to your careers page itself, not a single job. Shows only when no filters are set. |

## Featured jobs

When you filter to one job that's featured right now, the summary cards change to show the feature:

| Card | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Impressions** | Times the job was shown as featured on Hotfix. |
| **Views** | Views of the job from its featured spot. |
| **Apply clicks** | Clicks to apply from its featured spot. |
| **Remaining** | Days left on the feature. |

These count from the day the feature started, not the date range. To feature a job, see [Promote a job](/help/post-a-job#promote-a-job).

## Equal opportunity

Owners and Admins see the **Equal opportunity** card. It shows answers to the voluntary equal opportunity survey as totals, never by person.

* **Responses** is how many applicants answered the survey.
* **Response rate** is responses as a share of applications.
* Below, each question shows how many people picked each answer and the percentage. The questions are **Gender** and **Race or ethnicity**, plus **Veteran status** when **Federal contractor** is on. **I don't wish to answer** and **Left blank** count too. Gender shows Female and Male, like the EEO-1 report. Non-binary answers count under **Not reported**, with a note saying so.

The card covers all time. The date range doesn't change it. The **Job** filter does.

Totals stay hidden until 5 applicants answer, so a small group can't point to a person. Until then, the card shows a blurred sample and a note.

To collect answers, an Owner or Admin turns on **Equal opportunity** under **Settings** > **Apply**. The survey goes at the end of the apply form on US and worldwide jobs. See [Apply settings](/help/apply-settings). The card is hidden while the survey is off and nobody has answered.
