# Plans and billing

> Plans go by how many jobs you keep open. Every plan has every feature and unlimited seats. Your AI usage is billed by Claude or ChatGPT, not Hotfix.

* **Every plan has everything**: the app for Mac, the hiring MCP and skills, unlimited seats, and every feature. Plans differ only in open jobs.
* **An open job** is a published job that isn't closed. Drafts and closed jobs don't count.
* **Free** needs a verified work email on your company's website domain.
* **Featured** is \$49 per job for 30 days, on any plan. See [Featured](https://docs.hotfix.jobs/hiring/post-a-job.md#featured).

## Your AI usage

What Hotfix charges for is hosting your jobs, applications, mail, and interviews. Your agent runs on your Claude or ChatGPT plan, and Anthropic or OpenAI bills you for it. Hotfix has no AI credits. See [Your Claude or ChatGPT](https://docs.hotfix.jobs/app/your-ai.md).

## Change your plan

An Owner changes the plan on the web under **Settings** > **Billing**. In Hotfix for Mac, **Upgrade** in the top row opens the same choice. You can't pick a plan smaller than the number of jobs you have open; close jobs first.

Moving up charges the difference for the rest of the cycle today. Moving down credits unused time to your next invoices.

## Payment and invoices

**Manage in Stripe**, under **Settings** > **Billing**, updates your payment method, shows your invoices, and cancels your plan. A cancelled plan runs until the end of what you paid for. If a payment fails, Billing says so; update your payment method in Stripe.

## When a plan ends

If a paid plan ends, your company drops to Free. Your most recently posted open job stays live. Your other open jobs pause: they come off Hotfix search and stop taking applications. Your jobs, applications, and company page stay, and paying again reopens the paused jobs.
